The NFL Alumni – Detroit Chapter hosted their 4th annual Celebrity Bartender Night to benefit the South Oakland YMCA and the NFLA Scholarship Fund. The event was hosted at the Star Lanes at the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak and was a huge success. Local celebrities, the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders and current and former professional athletes came out to serve up drinks for a good cause.

The Silverliners and Delta Airlines invited local children with terminal illnesses to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, for a Fantasy Flight to the North Pole. The children boarded the plane to arrive to the terminal leading them to the North Pole, where they were greeted by Santa and his Elves. What a heartwarming event for some pretty special children.
This was a heartwarming event that we were so glad to be a part of! Three Detroit area Taubman Centers welcomed local deaf and hard-of-hearing children to be the first to experience the signing picture-in-picture feature on the movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift. The children had the opportunity to also walk through the multi-sensory Ice Palace and share their holiday wishes during a personal visit with Signing Santa.

The Wayne County – H.Y.P.E. Athletics Recreation Center will be a 104,000 sq. ft. building consisting of five basketball/volleyball courts, separate men’s and women’s weight training rooms, an indoor track, a computer lab, a library/resource room, classrooms, a cafe and offices. The facility will act as a safe haven and hub for education and physical fitness.
